Stone chips and scratches in the windshield happen quickly and are very annoying. Vehicle owners who do not have the windshield replaced or repaired risk the crack spreading or, in the worst case, the windshield even cracking completely.
When can a windshield be repaired?
A windshield with small stone chips (about 2.5mm in diameter) can be repaired. During a repair, Auto Müller fills the cracks with a special resin. Auto Müller cannot guarantee that the resin will spread completely in the cracks. If the resin does not spread completely, the windshield would have to be replaced, otherwise the crack could increase in size.

Can special windshields be repaired?
Special windshields, such as heated windshields or windshields with head-up display can be repaired. If graphic distortion occurs or the heating wires are damaged, the windshield would need to be replaced.
When does the windshield need to be replaced?
If a windshield has a crack or a stone chip larger than a two-franc piece, the windshield must be replaced. The owner of the vehicle can report the damage to the insurance company and, in the case of partial and full insurance, will be reimbursed for part of the costs.
